The Polymarket trader leaderboard in PredScout helps you find wallets to study. It is a starting list, not a list of people whose next trades will be profitable. Start with a time range and market category, then open a profile before deciding whether to follow anyone.

You can explore the Smart Traders page without choosing a copy strategy. This guide explains the filters and the main columns in plain English.

An illustrated trader leaderboard, filters, calendar and magnifying glass represent finding wallets to study in PredScout.

Choose a time window first

At the top of the Polymarket trader leaderboard, select 30D, 90D, or All. These windows change the performance period you are inspecting. A wallet can look impressive over one month and ordinary over a longer period. Compare the same window when looking at several traders.

PredScout shows when a trader was last active. Recent activity matters if you are looking for new trades to follow: a strong past record cannot create copy signals when a wallet is no longer trading.

Narrow the list to traders you can understand

Use Type choices such as Top rated, Consistent, Small drawdown, High return, Most active, or Rising to change the kind of wallet you see. You can also select market categories and Grade A through Grade D. The search box accepts a trader address or market category. The Sort control lets you change the ordering.

Start with one market category you recognize, then add a second filter. If you stack too many filters, you may hide relevant wallets without realizing why. Clear filters when results look unexpectedly narrow.

The Polymarket trader leaderboard is useful for comparing candidates with the same criteria. It does not tell you whether the strategy will suit your capital or trading schedule; that takes a look at each profile.

Read the table without mistaking one metric for a verdict

On the Polymarket trader leaderboard, the table includes the trader name and wallet address, period P&L, Total invested, P&L / Buy Amount, P&L decline ratio, Trades, median trading activity, median position size, and Copy grade. P&L means profit and loss. The period label in the table shows which window the figures use.

P&L / Buy Amount relates profit or loss to the amount bought over that period. It is not a guaranteed return on the money you would assign to a new copy strategy. P&L decline ratio points to a historical fall relative to buy amount. A small number can still hide risk if the record is short or most gains came from one event.

Trade count and median position size help answer practical questions. Does this wallet trade too often for you to review manually? Are its typical trades tiny compared with a market's minimum order? If your planned copy size is much smaller, many signals may be skipped.

Open a profile before using Copy

Select Details on a row. The profile shows a longer view, including range buttons, wallet summary, Trading style, Positions, and History. The Trading style tab can show typical buy size, frequency, price range, how often positions were actively closed, and market distribution. Check whether those habits match the markets and pace you understand.

The profile's Copy Strategy Calculator lets you enter a hypothetical copy capital and ratio. It estimates coverage using recent history. That is an illustration, not a replay of future fills; its own note says slippage and fees are excluded.

Use Copy this trader only after you have read the profile. It opens strategy setup, where you can choose Paper mode and your own limits. A high place on the Polymarket trader leaderboard does not remove the need for those limits.

A practical way to compare two wallets

Keep the same time window and category. Compare activity, P&L relative to buy amount, trading style, and the size of historical declines. Then ask what your chosen copy ratio would produce for a typical trade. If the resulting amount is too small to place or the market is thin, the trader's record may be difficult for you to follow.

When you have one or two candidates, open their profiles and test a Paper strategy. The leaderboard's value is helping you find wallets to examine; the profile and your own simulated results help you decide what to do next.
